My name is Caio Alvarez, alias GrotesqueChiq, im a 27 year old art school drop out from Florianópolis, Brazil, but currently livingand working in Curitiba, Brazil. Lifetime computer and internet fiend and art/art history nerd, all my NFT projects circle around abandonware exploration, aesthetically and somewhat philosophically. I enjoy the dicotomy of working with janky, forgotten, cumbersome and sometimes overly simplistic software in a space that values and praises the speed and «cutting-edge» factor of technology and art.As far as my digital art goes, i've had pieces shown at exhibitions on the Netherlands, Switzerland, and over here in Brazil, all of them focusing on emerging digital artists. It's cool, i have a very special hoster of collectors i would say, a lot of extremely talented artists and people that i was a fan of even before the whole NFT ecosystem was a thing, so it's a reassuring feeling, to have found and attracted a really quality audience that supports me and keep my desire to pursue a career on the Arts a reality. That thing they say that «you don't find your audience, but you audience finds you» was very true in my case i guess.
