Born in Meijel, the Netherlands, in 1987, Jos Vromans studied Applied Mathematics at Fontys University in Tilburg. After working for five years as a backend web developer, he left his job in 2018 to pursue his passion for algorithmic art.Jos's work delves into various concepts of mathematics and computing. He believes the best way to understand these ideas is by implementing them, visualizing the outcomes, and experimenting with their variations. Using custom-written software, he creates images by designing algorithms that generate patterns or collections of geometric shapes. Even with basic shapes and logic, iterative processes unlock the potential to produce complex and captivating results.Once an idea is brought to life, Jos refines it by tweaking parameters or modifying the logic in his code, uncovering new and often surprising variations. These discoveries fuel his passion, as he continues to explore the limitless possibilities waiting to be unveiled.
