Nicholas Dietrich

Painting since the 1990s, Dietrich now employs pixels instead of brush marks on his quixotic quest to try to understand how the universe works. Early 20th-century painting is a significant reference, and his work is characterized by simplified forms, elementary animation, and a cool spectrum palette, often with dithering.
