INFO BAROQUE
“When information is converted into an object of decoration. The geometry and rhythm of ancestral art forms resonate with the logic of modern computing. Such visual affinities are surfacing too often to ignore or dismiss as random.” - Françoise Gamma, Curator
Primitive decorative patterns from around the world have long hinted at the visual language of computation. With the rise of digital aesthetics, what was once ancestral ornamentation now finds itself mirrored in algorithmic forms. This visual familiarity blurs the lines between tradition and code, between the sacred and the synthetic.
Info Baroque, curated by Françoise Gamma, brings together a collective of visionary artists whose work oscillates between the rationality of data and the flourish of digital excess. Echoing the opulence and theatricality of the Baroque period, the exhibition transforms abstract code into something sensorial, immersive, and deeply poetic.

Concept & Themes
Info Baroque is a meditation on beauty born from data. It fuses early ornamental abstraction with modern computational aesthetics to explore how today's image-making—AI, code, generative design—can also carry spirit, seduction, and symbology. Each piece operates on the edge of signal and surface, questioning whether decoration is distraction, transmission, or both.
This auction also resonates with broader themes from speculative theory and poetic imagination:
Water and Dreams (after Gaston Bachelard): a fluid, dreamlike resonance where technology becomes myth.
GlobalMessenger: the artist as a digital Hermes, channeling meaning through ephemeral code.
Alignment.png: the collective harmony of the post-image—web-native, infinitely reproducible, stripped of metadata, yet rich with implication.
No Data: the illusion of control in a world ruled by algorithms.
Aesthetic Transmission in the Info Age
Info Baroque is not just an auction—it’s a symphony of pattern, texture, and excess reborn through code. Artists in this exhibition aren’t simply working with digital tools—they are sculpting with syntax, painting with pattern-recognition, dreaming in data.
Welcome to the era of digital ornament. Where every pixel has a pulse and every visual echo has a deeper origin.
