Exhibition Concept

A soft error is a fleeting fault - a flipped bit that alters meaning without causing total collapse.In this exhibition, that fragility becomes metaphor: how identity and memory warp under time, pressure, and technology.

“Soft Error. A Metamorphosis Chapter” transforms a small pink cube into a post-digital shrine - an intimate space where glitch meets emotion. The room feels at once personal and artificial, like stepping inside a teenager’s bedroom half-remembered by a machine. Surfaces shimmer with traces of distorted images; light pulses in irregular rhythm; memory becomes texture.

This chapter continues the conceptual thread of Metamorphosis, shifting the focus from what changes to how change misfires. If Metamorphosis spoke of evolution, Soft Error observes the loop - transformation repeating until it breaks down. Each cycle adds noise, digital scars, and distance from the origin.

Installation in Berlin

Visitors step into a space that feels alive yet unstable. The saturated pink light softens the chaos, turning the glitch into something intimate - almost tender. It’s a sensory diary of errors: a meditation on how digital and human systems break, heal, and continue to hum.

Video Loop: 1–2 minute sequence on a 55–65 inch portrait monitor, endlessly repeating. The motion, accompanied by a low mechanical pulse and flashes of light, evokes the rhythm of memory corruption.

Magnet Wall: Printed stills at various scales - fragments from the video, each uniquely glitched and degraded. Arranged as if pinned in a personal archive, they form a tactile record of repetition and distortion.

The virtual component - the Glitch Gallery - echoes the spatial design of the Berlin installation, translating its pink light and fragmented memories into a digital environment. Visitors can navigate a world of flickering textures, pixel scars, and temporal loops — a place where errors breathe and data dreams.

The gallery becomes a living organism of transformation: each work a signal that bends, breaks, and reassembles itself in rhythm with the fault line between memory and machine.
