Accompart's, the first web3 Computer Art Auction House announces the start of the second auction: “Digital Nostalgia” by Brendan Tadler.
In a world perpetually racing towards the new and the novel, Brendan Tadler is a Designer and Digital Art Collector based in NYC. Brendan invites us to pause and reflect on the allure of the past in the digital realm. This is a relatively new genre in computer art called digital vintage.
The upcoming auction, named “Digital Nostalgia,” is a curated art collection that encapsulates the sentiment of the early stage of the computing era. The auction will feature artworks by the following artists: Vera Molnár, Martin Grasser, Kerim Safa, AGRIPPA, Datura, Meelayya, Ugo, Scorpion Dagger, MEMCXI, MYZY, cap’n, Myujii, Danctrl, Yury Maximov, Nuv, Nocellcoverage, Juanna Pedro, Ni Petrov, Kirill Ukolov, Gozo.
These artists are unified by embracing a digital vintage style in computer art. This artistic approach seamlessly melds contemporary digital tools with design elements, color schemes, typography, and visual aesthetics reminiscent of past eras. This style particularly evokes the artistic trends prevalent in the early to mid-20th century.

The architecture of the pre-auction Gallery space.
Digital art and architecture are symbiotic, supporting and influencing each other. Architects and digital artists draw inspiration from each other’s work. Exploring spatial concepts, form, color, and composition in digital art can inspire architects to reimagine architectural elements. In contrast, architectural designs can influence digital artists' representations of space and structures.
Before the auction, Brendan Tadler and the Auction House collaborated to unveil a pre-auction exhibition. The virtual architecture of this exhibition seamlessly extends the thematic essence of the upcoming Digital Nostalgia auction. The architectural design of the virtual space is crafted to engage with the artists’ works on a profound level.
The Digital Nostalgia Gallery concept is a modern rendition of a Roman Forum, adopting an oval shape with a central plaza designed for congregation and interaction. Resembling an arcade, each arch within the gallery serves as a dedicated space to showcase individual artworks. This design promotes a holistic viewing experience — standing in the center provides a clear perspective of the entire art collection. The ambiance is further elevated by the moon's glow and twinkling stars above, creating an ethereal metaversal vibe. This enhances the visual allure and sets the stage for immersive discussions and interactions around the displayed art. The gallery design amalgamates ancient architectural elements with vintage digital art, fostering an engaging digital art experience.
